my story

Hi friends.

This space is where my heart and soul resides. This space is where little slivers of my personal life as well as spiritual life are found. The goal for my small chunk of the internet is authenticity. My writing comes straight from my soul, and if the impressions on my heart somehow bless anyone else, then this blog has been a blessing to me.

Little bits of information about me:

Writing comes naturally to me, and I am in no position to use my talent for anything other than to serve the Lord. I live a very humble life. And that is the seat of this space: humility, sincerity, nothing flashy or glamorous.

You’ll usually find me in church, reading, writing, singing, or spending time with my friends and family.

I love, love, love sweet tea. My home is in Alabama, so my house does not function unless there is a gallon of sweet tea in the fridge.

My name is Elizabeth, but I actually grew up going by Betsy.

I’m a college junior living at home, with aspirations to become an elementary school teacher. Children are my absolute passion. I am absolutely assured that molding little minds and taking care of small hearts and souls is the calling for my life.

As the daughter of a preacher, I have always lived in a Christian lifestyle, but I haven’t always had a true, meaningful, relationship with God.

Joy has always been a struggle for me. Living in joy, peace, and contentment with myself and my relationship with God is very important to me, but it does not always come easy.

I love, love, love, people. Despite my introverted nature, I have a sincere passion for the hearts of people I encounter.

My one desire for anyone that comes across this space is that they would be uplifted and encouraged by my words. Hearing the heart of another person who struggles with the same things you do can often be the best medicine. My prayer for this small corner of the internet is to bring joy and hope to anyone who stumbles across this bearing of my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please stay awhile.

with joy and love,
